Abbotsford Chiswick Probus Club celebrated their 5th Anniversary last Tuesday with a bumper attendance. The business part of the meeting was kept brief.

Our founding president Alex Ebert attended, even though he is in less than robust health. He presented the club with an engraved bell to mark the occasion. This will be used for many years to come to begin and end our meetings.
An excellent speaker, Jane Cox from Corrective Services, had the room in fits of laughter at times and totally engaged in her topic.
The main part of the meeting was centred around the members having plenty of time for morning tea and a chat after the speaker. To help with the mingling of members, our President printed out over 250 photos from events held over the last five years. These were mounted on cardboard and placed them around the room. The members were encouraged to take home any photo they wanted.
The atmosphere in the room was buzzing. Members shared photos and stories, called over friends to show them photos of each other, all while enjoying a yummy morning tea. The club looks forward to many happy years to come.
